Smart Start Stretching

Start Smart is a health and weight management program that incorporates exercise, proper nutrition and health education to help you to improve your appearance and overall fitness. Each program is specialized to fit your individual goals, be it toning, weight loss, increased muscle mass, or just improved health. Start Smart is a program that a person of any age can participate in and see positive improvements in body composition and fitness level.

The Four Phases of Start Smart

  1. Physical Assessment
    During our initial consultation, we will find out what your personal goals are. With these goals in mind, we will customize your nutritional program and explain the purpose of cardiovascular training and strength training. We will also take an initial body assessment including a tape and body fat caliper measurement, a health screen evaluation and a cardiovascular test.  All records are confidential.

  2. Prescription
    Once we have prepared your individual training and nutritional programs, we explain the workout routine chosen for you and answer any questions you may have. We will walk you through the entire workout from warm up to cool down. As we go through your workout, we will explain which muscles are being worked, make sure that you are comfortable with your program, and make any necessary adjustments as needed.

  3. Personal Training
    One of the greatest benefits of the Start Smart program is having a Personal Trainer once a week for four weeks. Your Personal Trainer will take you through your 30 minute workouts and make sure that the exercises are being performed correctly and efficiently. They will keep you motivated, and help to make sure that you stay on track with your program.

  4. Education
    Lastly, we will evaluate your nutritional habits and workout routine. It is imperative that you understand what your daily workout routine is and how to maximize your time in the fitness club.  Our main goal is to help YOU achieve YOUR GOALS!
